Gina, all I can do is send tons of hugs hug2 hug2 hug2 hug2

If the information is at all useful, I have found out (from a woman in Australia who has a lot of experience with those who do rehab with gliders there) that in the cases of very young or very ill gliders, as opposed to sub-q ing them, they give them D5W ORALLY-if you have it, just let him drink it. I'm sorry if this is too late-I just found out.

And this might be a little out of place, but I noticed the cake by your name-happy birthday, hon. hug2

Know I'm thinking about you and wish I could be there to help-loads of hugs for you and kisses for Fawkes. If I can help, please let me know. frown

Gina,
I'm so very, very sorry :cry You really are making the best decision for Fawkes and I admire you for putting his needs and feelings above your own. I know how very difficult it is to do... As I said before, when you look in his eyes, he will let you know that he is ready frown

I am going to leave this thread open and not start a "Part 5" even though it's over 100 posts at this point... Once he has passed over to the Bridge, then we can start a new thread at that point cry

Gina, I am so very sorry you have to make this decision but I know it was made with all the love you have for Fawkes.

For those of us who have been placed in this position with a beloved pet, we know how difficult this was for you but we also know there is a peace that comes knowing you have made the right decision.

Gina,

I am so sorry to hear that Fawkes has ripped himself open.

I know how heavy your heart is making the decision to let him free over the Rainbow Bridge. It is a tough decision made out of love for Fawkes.

Saying a prayer for you to have the strength to get through this sad time.

Gina...I just don't know what to say. I'm so sorry. I'm here if you want/need to talk or just a shoulder.

Gina: I am so sorry once again sweetie.

Ya'll I talked to Gina earlier. She had just went in to see Fawkes and was out preparing herself for what she knew she needed to do.
I can guarantee it WAS by far the hardest thing she had to do.

Gina, I cried with you sweetie and I am so sorry for the pain you were in and there was nothing I could do for you. I have tried to call you back, but I am sure you just need some time. Know that I am here.
