What is the purpose of changing pouches?

I'm clueless to this? Please can someone explain to me. TIA

Do you mean when you are introducing gliders? The point is that their scent will be on the pouch, so you switch the pouches and give each glider the others' pouch. Since gliders are scent oriented, this gets the two used to each others scent without actually putting them together yet. This is one step in the safe introduction process.
