Ok, why can you not buy another cage?

The 30 day quarantine starts when you bring them home. The gliders have already been at the breeders house, so the quarantine would be pointless to do it at their house. You will need to have them vet checked. You definitely need another cage. You dont only have quarantine to worry about, you have intros too. There is no guarantee that these two will like each other. If they dont, what will you do? Send them back? You NEED another cage.

Are they both males, females, male and female? Are you planning on breeding them?

Maybe you could get like a little travel cage and keep one of the joeys in that for the quarantine time?
A travel cage is not the best choice, but for a couple of weeks or so it shouldn;t be too bad as a work around.
Babies seem to bond fast when they are very little.

I didn't have a choice with mine either....I just put them together and within a few hours they had bonded and were sleeping together. Just like that ! (Snap)

Word of caution though:
However, if one of them has any parasites, then both will get them and you will be responsible for taking them to your vet and giving the gliders the medicines that they may need.

I hope that made sense! I am about ready to hit the sack tongiht--long day!

You have to quarantine if you are getting them from different breeders or you risk losing both of them. It doesn't work that you take them to the vet and all is well. Some things don't show up right away. You have to wait 30 days. If you are getting a male & a female you have to have the male neutered asap so they don't breed. Trust me, I have been thru this already! You also have to go slow with introducing them. All gliders don't get along right away and you risk them fighting and being hurt. Introductions can take months and some never go well. If you are planning to breed, you need to keep them separated for at least 10 months because the female will be too young to be a mom til then and you should check out the lineage to make sure it's a good match. I am speaking from experience and hope this helps in your decision. So, you must get another cage, at the very least.

Look at craigslist..you never know...you might find a suitable cage.

You are getting a male and a female? Are you planning on breeding or will they be pets only? Keep that in mind, if you haven't already.

And I agree...no guarantee your gliders will like each other...so that is also something to keep in mind. I wanted to keep Quincy with Jay & Silent Bob but Quincy did not like the boys so he had to be kept in his own cage.

Quarantine is so important. Please do your best to get another cage!!

You can even use a dog pop-up kennel that you can buy at wal-mart for roughly $30. You do need to keep them seperate! Just to make sure they both are healthy. you dont want one to be sick and get the other sick as well and you loose two babies instead of just the one.
Most likely they will both be fine, but MUCH better safe than sorry! It's only 30 days! You can do it!

P.S. Congrats on two new additions!
