Question About Pregnant Gliders... - 05/18/06 04:02 PM

When you say peanut shaped on her pouch, is that during pregnancy or when the joeys have already been born and are in her pouch?

And is it possible that during pregnancy, you wont notice it at all til the joeys are born?

BIG THANKS!

After they are born and are in the pouch. They are only pregnant for 16 days and the baby born is about the size of a grain of rice. Once the joey starts growing, you will notice the peanut taking shape.

Some know by when their gliders mate. They count 16 days from then. Then watch to see if the pouch "grows". Gliders are in the pouch app. 70 days before coming OOP.

I don't know if you could tell while they are pregnant as like I said they are only about the size of a grain of rice when born and making the trip to mama's pouch.
