When do they get their colour? - 07/29/06 02:56 PM
Does anyone know at what stage does a joey start to get its colouring before it is OOP? <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/nixweiss.gif" alt="" />

A whites baby tail will look pink no other colors on it. Your baby still has a week to change.

I have had joeys that didn't color up until 2 days before coming OOP.
If both parents are normal and don't carry any special genetics, I wouldn't count on a white baby, but you may get a white tipped tail...

Thats what I thought but have never seen a clear tail in any of the joeys I have had.

[:"green"]In my experience, a clear tail means that the joey is still at least 2 weeks from coming oop. The joey has not started to get any pigmentation yet and so the tail appears to be clear & you can see the little bones inside...
