Dahlia's joeys are OOP as of 11/10, when can I start to touch/hold/bond etc?

Also, is it easy to tell the sex of a joey?

A female has a slit on the bottom, and a male has a button looking thing.

You can handle the joeys as soon as you want -- I just made sure that I sat rght in front of their cage so that mom and dad could see that I had them and that I wasn't harming them and they were okay. I only held them for about 3-5 minutes.

Congratulations!! smile

I suppose every case is diff............Taz and Sadie (very tame and bonded) had 2 little boys OOP 11/5/07 and I have babysat for mom and dad 5- 10 min or so since day 1 at night. Yes it is easy to tell sex. the little boys have a pom above their chloaca and the little girls have a slit just below mid abdomen. Good luck with your little ones and congrats!!!!!! smile

When my gliders have joeys, I start holding them from the 2nd day I know they're OOP. Like Phayzed said, I keep those first visits VERY SHORT (no more than 5 minutes) and have a square of fleece so the babies don't get cold.

By starting early in their little lives, you're getting them used to your existence from the get-go.

Congrats on your new additions!
