Shelf life on freeze dried salad - 02/18/18 08:00 PM
When I changed my gliders diet many months ago, I ordered a few bags of freeze dried salads to go with it in case I got flakey with fresh salad prep. Well, today is the day. I think what I've ordered is about 6 months old. Does anyone know if I can still use it? It was opened for the first time today, it's rehydrating now, and I have some time before I need to feed them.

Hopefully not too late, but the Critter Love website it says the shelf life is up to 25 years unopened.

It's fine, but once opened, it should be kept airtight. I put mine in mason jars and keep an air tight seal. I only use my freeze dried food for traveling and when I forget to make salads.

Freeze dried lasts years unopened.
You're perfectly fine!
