Pipe Cleaners?

Pipe Cleaners? - 01/25/15 09:06 PM

Does anyone use pipe cleaners in their toys? My cat LOVES them. I figured the suggies probably would too, but I don't want anyone to lose an eye.
Thoughts/suggestions?

I would be afraid of the metal in pipe cleaners, it is usually zinc and that is toxic.

Zinc toxicity is nothing to mess with.

I'd be concerned with the potential for injury - being poked/cut by the metal in the center of the pipe cleaner. I wouldn't recommend using them.

I agree with Shelly. The pipe cleaners are very sharp at the ends and also can easily bend and break causing additional sharp ends..definite safety issues and concerns. I make my own toys and would not recommend using metal that could potentially be sharp regardless of filing and sanding down.
