Has anyone ever used the netting from Industrial netting? Is it safe to use?

I wouldn't use anything that wasn't FDA compliant. The mesh you have the link for is non compliant and could be toxic to your sugar gliders.

The hole width on the product description is 0.75 inch which means a glider could either squeeze through it - or get their head through and become entrapped in the mesh.

The black plastic hardware cloth sold in the garden section at Lowe's or Home Depot has 1/2 inch holes and is safer for making glider cages or toys.

Lowe's

This can be cut with scissors. Cut close to the edge to remove small sharp nubs left behind if you cut down the middle of a row of holes.

If you can't cut it close enough, you can probably use a lighter to melt the sharp spots smooth.
