Glider Whoops, Furniture Cleaning tip, Please Read - 11/12/08 04:31 AM

Hi to all. Just a tip for everybody with suggies. Everyone knows I had a little problem the other day with some very strong urine from my female suggies. Made a whoops on my microfiber couch. Well, fixed it without professional service, but from professional advice that I would like everyone here to know.

Due to the nature of our little suggies, sometimes they have strong to real strong smelling urine. I got a tip from Stainsafe to use the following product to completely eliminate the odor.

I found mine at my local Wal-Mart in the carpet cleaning supply section. It is Called Oxy Pro Pet,(product #985) made by Bissell. Comes in a dual metal can(18ozs), both cans attach to the dark pink trigger. It was $6.59 by me. 1 generous aplication, let it sit for 5 minutes, than blot up with a towel. Works perfectly. Just a little tip for all my fellow glider owners/lovers. Stainsafe said it was great for dogs/cats also. Hope this info helps someone else. Have a nice day.

Thanks Hemijoe-3 skin grandkids and 19 pets here-I am writing this down right now smile

Well I was but does it say anything about toxicity to pets? My crazy dogs likes to lay and lick the furniture, blanket, person-whatever he happens to be laying on roflmao

Also, Nature's Miracle works wonders and is animal safe.

Natures miracle did not work at all for me, But this stuff did. I have used the petstain and odor carpet cleaner from Bissell for years, same formula as this, but with oxyclean. I know my vet uses oxyclean around her animals. I never had an interaction with the main product with cleaning carpets, upholstry with my dogs, or the suggies. I clean the carpets 2 times a year. And used the fabric rub on cleaner from stainsafe to refresh my furniture. So I would say yes, but will ask the vet 2marro.

COOL! I just had my daughter's cat neutered, well, because he NEEDED to be. LOL But also due to the fact that he liked to spray the darn couch! I love my couches! But NOTHING would take out the smell. I am off to Walmart tomorrow armed with this info to try it out. THANKS HEMIJOE!!! And I am soooo glad you got that outta your couch!

DO they make it in a large enough container for the whole carpet! roflmao After 4 puppies in the house it has stains and odor. I use the pet deoderizer that you sprinkel on the carpet and the pet odor fabreeze for the carpet too and the dog beds! Now just to make the urine from the suggies smell better!

No, just the cans, , nothing bigger than that, would be nice to have, if people have alot of pets. Happy holidays to you, This maybe my last post, because I blew up at first because of the suggies expected accident, I am still not liked, and people do not like me here, because of one bad post. Oh well, glad to see you own a rottie, I rescued 2 of them in the past 15 yrs, I miss them both. Oh well, most likely, I will be asking for my account here on GC to be deleted, I dont feel welcomed here. My problem. Best wishes to you and your family.

You shouldn't delete your account because of one small incident. Its alright and everyone has their own moments and everyone knows that. Give this sight another chance becauce as you can see from the responses you have here we are all here to learn and get/give advice from others here.

Joe, sit! You aren't hated here. Just...stick around a bit. There's a lot of good information on the site and ya...just ignore them. Don't let them get to you.

Thanks for the tip too. laugh I have a glider that's in love with my microfiber futon now and of course being the dummy that I am, I don't have sheets on it. (I keep forgetting to put them on frown ) You know what's funny though? She's never gone on my futon before but ever since I posted in your other topic, that's the first place she goes to. -.-;; Karma is a [censored]. But...I appologized right after though. cry Not fair!

No hate here Joe. We're all too busy spoilin our suggies to hold any grudges over a darn couch dude. And MAJOR misunderstanding! I have a hot head and I let my mouth get away with me!

I really appreciate you posting about the OxyProPet!!! That stuff works like a charm! I have a Chihuahua that has ocassional accidents that have been the bane of my existance with cream colored carpet. No longer though! That Oxy stuff ate up the yellow tee-tee spots like magic!!! TAHNK YOU!!!

STAY STAY STAY STAY STAY!!! Pretty please?????

Thanks, just going to step back, alot of people have been very helpful, some are just set in their ways. Oh well, Glad to see it works for everybody. Even the regular pet stain and odor remover works great for the carpet cleaners. Gives of a nice subtle scent, very minimal.
