I have been playing guessing games when it comes to my boo, whether she is with joeys or not...At first I felt 2 lumps...then it went for a while and even though she was grooming her tummy more, and getting wider like she had joeys, I was still wondering....Then last week I thought I saw a joey part sticking out of her pouch when she was stretching...I thought great now I know...Last night she was lying on her back playing finger tag with me and I was petting her and she let me rub her tummy.....I felt nothing , no lumps...What is going on???? How can you tell for sure? She is getting biger in the tummy...
From the pictures it looks as if she was but just recently pulled it out. Has she ever had joeys before? The only for sure way to know is to feel and if you don't feel any lumps then their are no joeys. Also by waiting about 2 weeks you should be able to tell with out feeling if she has joeys or not. Some hide their joeys very wel though so I always rely on rubbing the tummy. If you felt once and then didn't feel again you either felt wrong or she did reject the joey With the way her pouch opening is stretched it does look like she rejected it Sorry. I could be wrong but thats what it looks like

I was afraid of that......If she rejected it where would it be? Could I find it in the cage......She has never had joeys before, but I did suspect that she was with joeys about 3 months ago and thought she rejected them....

[:"green"]If she did reject, you probably wouldn't find any trace of the joey left because she would have totally eliminated it... I agree with Elisabeth that it looks like she maybe had one & then rejected it... I'm so sorry...
It is hard to think of it, but she was just doing what comes natural to her. In the wild once a joey or even a member of their colony die they canabalize it as quickly as possible so no predators can follow the smell of death and attack the living gliders.

Her tummy looks exactly like one our girls did and then it got infected. We rushed her to the vet. (This was a long time ago, she healed fine with antibiotics) Turned out she had pulled a joey. On the good side now, we are expecting the twins OOP any day now! Our first and hers too. So don't give up hope.

Just wanted to let you know that I just got Boo back from the vet and she has 1 joey in the pouch...She is assuming that it is early in the pouch and what I might have seen instead of the foot of the joey was it going into the pouch...But she is healthy and in good shape...
