2 days ago I decided to try Judie`s BML with my gliders to see if all 4 will like it(switching from Darcy`s), then it hit me "should I be doing this while Nina`s nursing? I`ve only been doing it gradually, 2 Tbsp of Ensure + 2 Tbsp BML, about half of their protein source (chicken, eggs etc) and fruits & veggies. I know a protein source isn`t necessary but like I said, I was changing them gradually.

So, is it ok that I`m doing this now? I just wanted to check and make sure. Thanks!!

[:"green"]It should be okay to do it now. No matter when you try to switch diets, a breeding female will probably be nursing a joey at some stage of development since they get joeys in pouch so frequently. Just make sure that you continue to take it gradually and everything should be okay.

Good to know Suz. I was going to post earlier, but didn't know for sure.

Thanks Suz! Tonight will be their third night now with both BML and ensure but the first night, not much BML was touched at all. I was thinking of making tonight their last night with the ensure and tomorrow night doing the whole BML diet only. What do you think? Is this too soon, especially being they didn`t touch the BML on the first night? I`ll do it longer if needed, I just need to know how long. Thanks again!

[:"green"]I would recommend doing it gradually over the course of a week. Each night, increase the amount of BML a bit more & decrease the amount of Ensure... Within a week from when you started, they should have all BML and no more Ensure.

Suz, it looks like we`re chasing each other back and forth from diet & nutrition then back to here lol! You`ve been so helpful tonight and I really appreciate it. I`m so glad I asked though because I though a few days of changing over would be enough. I`m sure my babies won`t have a problem with a week, I think they`re really going to miss their ensure but I have to do something when I don`t think my boy is getting the good stuff he needs. I just read the thread tonight "Ensure question" and it made me realize that I`m doing the best thing for my babies anyways.
