Update: So I had to put Fuzz and Scout back together this past week (for about 6 days) because I was taking a trip up to our cabin in Michigan and could only put them in my Genji tent. I didn't notice a change at first, but near the end of the trip I noticed that the fur around Fuzz's ears was thinning yet again.
My whole point of this post is...what should I do now? I really don't want to just leave them in separate cages that sit right next to each other for the rest of their lives. Yet I also can't see myself putting them back together. Do I have to give one up? And if then, which do I give up? Fuzz seems like she enjoys other gliders. And Scout, while she enjoys the company of Fuzz, seems like she would much rather be by herself.
One last note, when I feed mealworms or corn (their favorite veggie), and they are in the same area, when Fuzz is finished with her portion she will come and take whatever Scout currently has in her hands. Yet Scout seems like the dominant glider. She obviously cares for Fuzz if she'll let her take food right out of her hands/mouth.
So many questions, I know, but I am facing a pretty legit problem right now.

It is still hard to say if Fuzz is losing/pulling fur (because of stress) or if Scout is pulling it. If Fuzz is doing this to herself, she may never be able to go in with another glider, but the only way to know for sure, if you decide to do so, is try introducing her to another glider. I would definitely say that it seems the two cannot ever go back together permanently. You are the only one that can decide whether to keep them both. Some gliders do just fine by themselves (strange as it seems to most). If you decide to give one of them up, the new owner needs to know that either Fuzz may stress with other gliders around and lose/pull fur or that Scout may pull fur of another glider so they are prepared to deal with the possibility of keeping a single glider. I'm sorry that this has happened again, but glad you know for sure.

I would keep them in seperate cages and spend lots of time with both. They can play for a bit together in the tent with you and maybe take a nap together in a bonding pouch during the day ON you. I have 3 seperate gliders now that I cannot put with other gliders. One lost his mate after 9 years, one is Kiwi..she is 8 1/2 yrs. old and has never had a buddy that we know of..she loves other gliders but they won't have anything to do with her. She is happy staying in my bra. SweetPea will not accept another friend after losing Peanut and started having seizures when Peanut got worse. If I even ATTEMPT to intro her to another glider, she goes into full seizure. She is only a year old but will remain a lone glider for life most likely. My son's nurse and her husband had a lone glider that lived 17 1/2 years without ever meeting another glider. Some gliders would just rather have their human as their buddy.

Take pics of them playing and don't forget to share!
