My female glider is pregnant and yesterday evening after playing with the family of gliders and again this morning the female would not let the male in the pouch. i find this odd or is it the female is going to or has had her baby's ?

[:"green"]It is possible that she is giving birth & the joeys are going into pouch. Most females don't seem to care about whether they're alone or not, though. It's possible that he just needs a breather... As long as he is acting normal otherwise, I wouldn't worry about it. However, if his appetite goes down or he acts lethargic, I would take him to the vet for a check-up.

He seems okay but the female will not let him in the pouch.. he climbs all over the inside of the cage and plays and is healthy, my female glider is very stanoffish and how do i tell now if she has had her baby's

[:"green"]You should wait a few days, then you can gently rub her lower abdomen. If you feel a firm lump or two, then she has joeys in-pouch; if she's soft, then there aren't. Yesterday afternoon when i got home the male glider was back in the pouch with mom and son.. last night about 8pm all the gliders were awake and singing , i guess they wanted to let me know that they were up.. fed them and dad and son greeted me and a friend for a few minutes outside the cage and then went to eat..

Last night i got a good look at the female's belly. she has 2 bulges on her stomach area . one on each side. i guess she has joeys in pouch?

[:"green"]sounds like she does have joeys in pouch. To find out for sure, gently rub her belly where you see the lumps. If they're firm, then it's joeys; if soft, it's not...
