There was a comment on a locked thread which I thought needed some clarification so not to confuse people.

Quote:
HPW, technically speaking, is Australian High Protein Wombaroo, I.E. possum replacement milk.

Wombaroo High Protein supplement is not possum replacement milk -it is a dietary protein booster.

I would hate for people to get confused and start feeding it as a milk replacement to joeys.

Wombaroo does make a huge range of milk replacers- some especially for native animals as well as domestic...so specialised they have two for possums/gliders alone with different milk strengths for different ages.

I am also concerned that people are feeding milk replacements to pregnant females to supplement their diet. If they do need supplementing, Wombaroo High protein supplement could be used for that. Again I wonder if the confusion with the products is how that started in the first place.

good clarification! I have seen this be an issue before when people were talking about HPW not being sent to the United States anymore. Thanks.

Yes it is easy to get mistaken. That's why I always say Wombaroo HPS when talking about the product itself as I use a number of different Wombaroo products with my wildlife.

It might seem like I am a little picky at times correcting or clarifying, but once something is documented on the web, it often gets quoted and trusted way down the track even if its wrong.

Thank you so much for the clarification! There are many people feeding HPW and confusion will not be good! Again, thank you.
