their gliders make FACES?

I used to say Arwen had a "day face" and a "night face"

My hubby thought I was nuts.

co workers accused me of anthropomorphism.

One day it is that dusky part of the day, getting close to dark but not quite. I have Arwen in my shirt and she is looking up at me with her day face. I am outside and grab a leaf from a bush and wiggle it in front of her and watch her face "morph" into her night face.

I tell my hubby and he's like "cool"

Work now thinks I am really nuts.

But last week we had a "party" during work hours. I was actually off but decided to stop by as it gives me an opportunity to bring Arwen to work and not get in trouble.

As she comes out to check out all the food, people are actually commenting how her expressions change when she looks at them or at me, or the food.

A few of them said they could see how her face changed and you could almost read the feelings "Who are you and why are you looking at me!" "hey is that yummy?" "mommy why are they still looking at me" "MY cheese doodle!" and when back in the shirt "oh yeah this is good"

Anyone else?

Yes! I absolutely agree! You ought to see Bandit's face when he's in his protective mode! Oh my...so solemn and "big boyish"...LOL.

Then...when I change the cage up or put new toys in...oh my, my poor little man, for a good five minutes, is just PETRIFIED and the look on his face is sheer "OMG!!!"...LOL.

Rock is very expressive. He goes from "Omg... what is that... I'm scared!" to "Oh. Oh wait. That's momma, giving me a green bean!? I love green beans!" To "It's MY green bean." Whenever I laugh at his faces my bf looks at me like I've lost it.

I guess people who don't spend as much time around them don't pick up on the changes as easily as we do.

Tink is most expressive with her eyes.. As all gliders she's got those big beautiful bug eyes and oh does she know how to use them! Every time I put her back in her cage after playtime, she climbs up to eye level and gives me the most pathetic look! Its like she's saying ... Please take me back out .. I want to keep playing lol..

Proud parent of Tinkerbell :grey: and Nemo :grey: who bring Aaron and I much joy, laughter, and happiness!
They both came to me at times when I needed them most (and I didn't even know it) .. now I get to spend the rest of their lives repaying them .. heart
