Hi Guys, I was in Petco last night and saw sand perch covers. They're used on bird perches. Would they be a safe toy to play with. I thought if I cut them into smaller pieces they could be used as a toy and at the same time, help keep their nails trim. What do yu think

I don't know if I would use them because of the sandpaper. It can cause thier pads on thier feet to become raw and cause issues with them walking. With wodent wheels, they have a trim track using sandpaper but it has a rubber casing over it to protect thier paws. Now if I am wrong, I know someone will correct me HTH!

I don't even use these for my birds. It hurts their feet and for a glider I'd be afraid they would chew on them. The sand, not to mention the glue that holds it on wouldn't be good for them.

I wouldn't use those I use the wodent wheel with the nail trimmer for 2 days and pika's nail are just right Then I replace the wodent wheel with her stealth wheel
