If you are really concerned, take some blankets and wrap the cage/s on the three sides and top (leaving the front open). It will help hold in heat if the power does go out. If the power does go out, then close off the front of the cage too.

Other advice is simply...remember why you got gliders to begin with. They are supposed to be there for you to enjoy, not make yourself crazy over.
And really...7 inches of snow isn't THAT much. Used to get 3-4 FEET of snow most all winter long when I lived in Utah. Power very rarely went out. Just try to relax and think positive thoughts.

hahahahaha funny! I am a HUGE worry wart! lol! They are an exotic animal...that are in a cage...the dogs and cat's can come to us humans for heat...so I worry! But you are correct...but ya cant fault me for loving my kids! (oh and in my world...7 inches of snow...the world is coming to an end...I hate snow!) Again...thank you Mrs. T. Calming down!

A candle throws a lot of heat. If you can make a little tent out of a sheet and have the candle in a safe spot (safety first), it would help keep the kids warm. If they have a double-fleece pouch, they can stay really warm just with their own body heat. Fleece is really great.
