You can use a soldering iron to make the holes.

You can use a soldering iron to make the holes. I don't have a soldering iron - One of these days! But I was able to use a small drill bit and going slowly with basically NO pressure you can make the holes. I cracked a few before I got the hang of it, but for $1 for 24 glasses....no harm!

I use a Dremmel tool and I like the higher speed... it kind of melts thru it instead of drilling it.

Here are 2 toys we made for our suggies glider room I love these! Where are you finding the ball with holes (first pic) and the 'swirly' limb (second pic)? Sorry I didn't see this until now lol guess it's better late than never...we found the balls with the holes at walmart in the novelty section...and the swirly limb we made...it's pvc pipe heated and swirled. We screwed it to the wall for more stability for the tree. Hope this helps...
