That sounds like constipation noises from what I've read. I'm not sure poo consistency/density would show either way if she were constipated or not. try some prune juice, just a little bit, say a couple tsps & that oughta loosen her up!

Could be little Jynx is constipated... in that case, Bobbypyn had a good idea with the prune juice. You can also give her some apple juice, canned pumpkin, offer more liquids, etc. If her poopy is fine... if shes making noises while pee'ing, it could indicate a urinary tract infection as well. Some Gliders just make noises while they potty... I guess just because they can . If shes fine with no symptoms (IE: eating healthy, pottying normal, good energy levels, etc...) then she should be fine. If she displays any behaviors you feel out of the ordinary or anything you feel is not right... best bet is to have a vet check up.

Critters are funny. The only voluntary muscles present once one swallows are those right at the anal exit. Some straining is NOT about constipation. It can be about flexing the only muscles in one's control in the whole process, and that is counterproductive. Relaxation is where it's at to properly pinch a loaf. Certainly "bearing down" and increasing abdominal pressure can help push poop, but excessive straining in the face of soft stools might mean the little doofus is squeezing the muscle sets that hold back the dirty deed. So why fight back such an enjoyable activity as pooping? It certainly makes one wonder about painful defecation. Anal fissures (small tears in the anus from a previous large or hard or dry stool) could do that. So could local infections or irritations. Ya can't be good at everything, and some are just not destined to be prize poopers. Now if you think this post is way past weird, I gotta tell ya that as a Pediatrician you would just not believe the amount of time some mothers spend worrying about their baby's poop habits. I especially love the diaries and the zip lock bags filled with "evidence." -Not to mention the video tapes of the ruddy-faced fits. So, with a minor in the crapping habits of my second favorite mammal, I can't get too excited about a strainer with soft, formed, non-bloody stool that comes out of a normal looking exit wound as long as the critter is otherwise healthy. But if concerned, a vet check might be in order just to be sure no infection is to blame. (Just don't forget the video.)

I write down what i feed her at night and whats left over the next day. She has alot of watter bottles but she likes to drink out of an oppen dish... Thanks for the help, i'm watching her. lol...if you can potty train your glider, you are the first in history! The best you can do about that is let her play a few minutes before you take her out so she has time to do her business before climbing on you. Gliders are pretty much incontinent, and will go whenever and where-ever the need strikes them. If she is really straining, try the above-mentioned methods like adding some juice to her diet to help her out some. As long as it looks normal, she could just be slightly constipated and that may be all you need to do about it. Some gliders just like to make noises...lol. Either way, keep an eye on it and if you feel uncomfortable with her actions, take her in for a vet check. Peace of mind is worth everything Take care
