My wife and I recently adopted two sugar gliders and they are fantastic. One thing though our little girl, Jamila, was born without a front right leg. She is fine and acts as though she doesn't even know what she is missing, but is there anything my wife and I should do to cater to this very special girl that has come into our lives?

To her being a tripod it normal. She doesn't have to adjust since she's never known what it is to have 4 legs. I had a little tripod girl, Carina Trey. She had a leg, but it was atrophied and she was missing all but her pinky finger on her hand due to an accident as a joey. She was active, curious and didn't let it slow her down. About the only things that I needed different for her, was she needed a place to sit to eat rather than trying to hold on to the side of a cage as well as eating. She also had more trouble climbing over PVC pipes in a reptarium (that could have been the fact that she was petite as well as only having 3 legs tho). I did add more ramps/ledges/hammocks in my cage, but she tended not to use them.

Kudos to you for giving a special little girl a forever home. Please post some pictures soon!

I'm sure she will do great, since she was born that way she has adapted to the way she is because she doesn't know anything else and I'm sure it won't slow her down!

Yup, I love her! I have a big heart when it comes to animals, but it seems to grow ten times bigger when it's a special needs.

My wife came up with it, she is studying arabic in university so Jamila means beautiful, we call her Jam or Jami for short though (her brother's name, Asi, is persian for Sky). She is such a cuddler as well! Last night during playtime in the tent the other three were running around and exploring and playing with each other but she just curled up on my wife's chest and watched our movie with us. We are truly blessed to have her in our lives.
