My glider has been sick and lethargic. Moving so slow and not eating. Took her to the vet and Im giving medicine every 2 hours. I have been forcing water and HPW in her system. What do I look for? What should I do??

Make sure to religiously give her the medicine and water. ALSO, please make sure she stays warm (even if you have to keep her on you at all times for your body heat).

I hope she gets better quickly!

usually the vet sub qs the glider for fluids and that lasts for about a day if the glider is dehydrated

First :welcomegc: I'm new also, but I think we need more info. Like how old, what did vet say was wrong? How long was she sick before she was seen by the vet? Is she part of a colony, or alone? Hope she gets better soon! jump

What type of medicine did they give her? I have never heard of a medicine required every two hours.

What did they say was wrong with her?

Thank you all for the responses. Sadly she passed in her sleep. I prayed she would go peacefully if it was her time.

She was about 8 years old. The vet wasn't sure what was wrong but we tried getting her healthy. She was only sick for the day and I got her in right away. She was part of a colony. She didn't make through the night.

That is correct, Dextrose is not an antibiotic, it is for a dehydrated glider.
