I am looking for a glider safe wheel that is less than 11.5 inches so that it will fit through the door of my cage. The top door about 11 3/4" 10". I don't want to have to take the top of the cage off to get the wheel out. I currently have a wodent wheel with the axle guard. Aside from it still being a potential safety hazard, I think now that my glider is almost 6 months old she is larger than when I brought her home. She used to use the wheel a lot but recently hasn't been using it as much. I think that because she is larger and with the axle guard it isn't as comfortable to use.

Anyway I want to buy one of the wheels with the open design but they won't fit through the cage door. Any suggestions?

Is that 11 3/4" x 10" ?

I have Fast Track wheels, the first one I ordered was a regular 12" wheel, but I asked for custom width track that is a bit slimmer than the average made wheel tracks. I'd have to measure it, but I think it was a 4" or 5" track. Also the Fast Track wheels can be removed from the mount, this makes it easier to fit in and out of the cage and install. Maybe if you had one like that, it would fit through your cage door. Maybe if you contact the maker, Dallie at SpinZone Global, she will be able to assist you in that. Also there is a travel 9" wheel size. I have one of those and often have one regular size and the travel size in their cage for a little different experience for them. They use the travel fairly well, and they're not tiny gliders.
