Yep, wake him up when your ready to spend time with him.
If he is a single, watch for over grooming.
Has is environment changed? Is there light in his room during the day? He needs light so he knows he's supposed to be asleep.
Sometimes seasonal changes will cause this.
Have you considered getting him a buddy?

A vet visit may be in order to make sure he is healthy. That is a major time change. Does he have natural light were you keep the cage? If he is always in the dark he won't be able to differentiate the night from the day.
