Thanks, Feather! She's my baby and I'm very nervous about the surgery. On the plus side, the vet said it should fix her completely.

Thanks, Karen! I am very careful with them, especially when I first got Hari. I hate those videos with people letting their cat chase/bop gliders. :| I wanted her to know Fevy wasn't a toy early on. She loves to eat yogurt and mangoes and fruit juice with him... pretty sure she grew up believing she was a really giant sugar glider. She collects the milk rings he drops and hordes them. They got to be Princess Leia-cat and a "mouse droid" for Halloween this year. I actually attempted to dress Fevy but he refused. So he's a naked mouse droid.

Just a quick update; my kitty is finally back home and doing great after two days at the vet. She's got a pretty impressive "zipper" scar from her chin to her chest, but otherwise she did really well and so far the surgery seems to have worked. They took out one of her parathyroid glands and a chunk of her thyroid. Turns out what they thought was a benign tumor causing the primary parahyperthyroidism was actually this bizarre pink tissue matter... it's incredibly weird. The vet has no clue what it was, but they think Hari basically started growing an unfinished organ when she was a kitten. I'm just glad they took her mutant growth out. Fevy was so excited to see her... he smelled her nose for a solid minute and seemed very curious about where she'd been.
