Hi I have been wanting to add some parrot style perches just for the gliders to climb on and I see alot of Parrot nail trimming perches such as this one...

Are they safe for my gliders ?

Personally, I don't like these because there is no protection for the pads of their little feet. With the sandpaper that goes on the wheels, those are to be placed on the outside of the wheel so only their nails touch the paper. That way their pads do not come in direct contact with the paper.

I have always had great success with apple tree branches.

Thanks for the reply. I have the glider stealth wheel in the cage and my little girl absolutely loves it she is on it every night but the boy never goes on it. She is always alot more active than him moving around quicker were as he just takes his time walking around but I have never seen him on it. I have got the sandy inserts for the wheel though to at least keep her nails down.
