Cookie is a 1 1/2 yo female that I adopted from a 14 yo girl. Cookie is a Pocket Pet product. Her owner never cleaned her cage, just the tray. So everything , including Cookie was disgusting. You should have seen the urine on the heat rock..yes it was tossed. She is shy but comes out at night, eats very well and, is active in new much larger cage. Why then does she poop and pee in the sleeping pouch during the day? 3 sleeping areas available at all times. Does this behavior have to do with how she was raised... Pocket Pets? Or maybe because she was used to sleeping pouch on the floor of the cage?

It was probably caused by the dirty conditions she was kept in. Keep clean pouches in there and take the dirty ones out right away when you find them. Hopefully you can reverse the habit.
