Hello there! I'm pretty new to the site and I thought I would enquire about a predicament I've been having with my two gliders for the past couple of years. I have two gliders, named Gizmo and Pepper. Gizmo is a female and Pepper is a male. They are roughly three years old now, and I have been expecting them to eventually show interest in having smallish gliders at some point, but unfortunately that has never happened. They both enjoy each others company and don't like to be separated for long. They are on the Pocket Pets diet, and they have reached breeding age. Does anyone know why they seem to have no romantic interests in each other?

I am not 100% sure that Pepper has not been neutered. I had purchased my female from Pocket Pets a couple of years before I got Pepper, the male. I bought Pepper from some locals who could not take care of him any more. They had purchased him from PP the year before, and so Gizmo is around two years older than Pepper is. I am sure that they are male and female, Pepper has a slight bald spot but it is not very pronounced. Thanks!

They had purchased him from PP the year before, and so Gizmo is around two years older than Pepper is. Pocket Pets has neutered all male joeys before they are sold for several years. Do you see a fur covered sac in the middle of his belly? If not then he has definitely been neutered. If the sac (scrotum) is present you can gently feel it to see if you feel the testes in the sac. They will feel like 2 BB size balls in the sac. If you cannot feel them, he may have been neutered pom on - removing only the testes and leaving the sac. If you are still not sure - a well check up with a glider experienced vet would let you know for sure.
