We are about to begin introducing 2 new gliders to each other and since we will need a second cage thought this would be the perfect time for an upgrade. We found someone selling a cage for a great price but can't find any info on if it would make a suitable or safe home for gliders. It is called a ZooMed Reptibreeze IguanArium Does anyone have any experience with these cages and their gliders? The cage we have now is plenty big enough for two gliders but if I can give them more room to run around in I will.

What about bar spacing? From the pic it looks to be less that 1/2" between bars, but if you know for sure that would be better information.
I also see it says PVC coated wire, just keep an eye on that, chewers could get through that and then you need to know if the actual wire it safe or not.

Okay, I am not familiar with this, but I am looking into it farther. I checked out the link you posted, but I can't see where it gives the spacing, that's going to be the factor here I think. The dimensions of the cage itself is okay I believe for 2 gliders, but the spacing of the bars is what needs to be determined to know if it will contain your gliders. I'm going to look around to see if I can find that information online, but in the meantime perhaps someone can let you know, maybe you can ask the person you would be purchasing it from if they could measure it for you.

I could not find that information. I'm glad that the owner measured for you. I'm afraid that is too large a space, gliders could escape through spaces 1" wide. Largest spacing is 1/2" for security of the gliders.

The wire spacing 1"x 1/2" is fine since the gliders would not be able to slip out of the 1/2 inch space. The real concern is that the source of the PVC Coated wire is unknown. A few years ago cages provided by Pocket Pets and a few other vendors were made with PVC Coated wire that was toxic to gliders. That wire also had the 1" x 1/2 inch openings. There are some brands of the PVC Coated wire that are glider safe - but it looks exactly like the toxic coating so most of us well NOT use the PVC coated wire just to be on the safe side.

If you're interested in making your own pvc terrarium for gliders, I'm designing my own and am willing to share the design/how to!
