Hello everyone I'm new around here. I'm getting two twin female sugar gliders from a breeder in June. I'm starting to get things together for them and I've been doing research on cages. I'm in love with the double critter nation but I've read the bottom tray is on the inside of the cage so they would be walking on their poo anyone have this cage? I want to hear what cages you have and why you love it before I purchase one. Thanks everyone!

! I'm not familiar with the cage that you're looking at, but from what I've seen cages generally have the bottom cage part with the collection tray underneath so that any waste falls through onto the tray. I just recently got a cage called Brisbane, I saw it on the sugar-glider-store website and had it recommended to me on here! It's quite roomy and my gliders love it, it even comes with a stand. It also has two big doors on the front and two small ones on the side so there's plenty of ways to get to everything inside. I used to try and line the collection tray with paper towels to help reduce cleanup but my naughty gliders would just reach down and rip them up! Then there were paper bits all inside and around the cage, haha. I'm sure there are special liners for cages that avoid this problem, but liners aren't a necessity.

I'm a relatively new Suggie Mom. I have had Roo for 2 months and just welcomed Nigel (Bobo) into the family yesterday afternoon. In searching for a cage, I decided to go to the person I got Nigel from. If you go to Critterlove.com and go to Our Store, you will see the cage section. I ordered the Super Roomy Glider Cage in white. It's HUGE!! I have it on the stand and it's perfect for two Suggies. I just got a wheel for them today and it fits perfectly along with all of their hanging toys, beds and food dishes. I still have more room to put fun things in there. The price point for me with the shipping was $170.00 - I thought the price was just right. The tray goes under the bottom of the cage so that my Suggies aren't sitting in their mess. Again, it is big. The other thing I like about the cage is that with the white it goes in my main family room. It doesn't look like a cage but more a piece of furniture. I keep my Suggies in the midst of all the family comings and goings and noises. This way they get tons of attention. :D Just my suggestion. Good luck! :D
The only thing I fear in life is living without love.

I have HQ Flight cages and I use nothing in the drop pan, just wash it out a couple times a week.

The CN cage you mentioned has been able yo be modified for tray underneath, however, I've recently read they made a new version that doesn't work with modification. The same cage branded differently as All Living Things, I believe is still able to be modified if I'm understanding what I've read. HQ cages, either from EN or sugar glider superstore, suncoast gliders, and some other venders are also popular cages. I've heard Martin cages are also good, and then there is the Glide-Arium, which offers another alternative. When I get a chance to go online on my pic, I'll try getting the links with this info for you. Nay be sometime tomorrow afternoon or evening.

I have a DCN that I bought February of this year, I love it! I have modified it using the middle division shelf that I left out so that the drop tray is outside and underneath of the cage so no little fingers can go looking for glider leftovers (my youngest son has decided that the BML diet is perfect for him *sigh*) the ONLY complaint I have about it is that my almost two year old can easily open the bottom doors and crawl into the cage...which he does on a daily basis. Again with the love of EATING the BML *gag*

I'm a rescue home with 10 cages, all DCN. I'm extremely happy with them! If you clean the trays every morning, they're not that bad for the gliders to walk on. I wipe the worst out with paper towels, then wash with Dawn and hot water, rinsing thoroughly with hot water.

I have 3 of the critter nation/ petsmart all things living cages. They are all tied together in ONE huge cage for 6 gliders. I modified the tray to be on the OUTSIDE of cage. But I believe even the NEW cage without the crossbars could be modified with a little more work to have the tray outside the cage. Anyway. we love the cage, large open doors, easy to combine together for larger cages.
