Let me start by saying if have learned a lot here already. I have wanted to be owned by gliders for 7 years. I seen gliders at a reptile show in Tennessee while on vacation and the research began. Lol. Lots and lots of research. I realized how much time needs to be spent with them and was unable to dedicate the time. But know I've been forced to retire at 52 and have 24/7 to be with them. I live in Missouri and have been unable to find a breeder here. I'm would love to adopt at least 3. Just love the standard color. I have got everything I need cage all set up but just missing gliders. I'm just looking for pets. I have no desire to breed. Just want pets. Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks again for all the help

Welcome to GliderCENTRAL!

If you click on the word breeder, it will take you to the database of breeders. You may not find one in Missouri, but you may find one in another close state.

A lot of breeders will ship gliders using the airlines. You may want to check into that also.

Hey and :welcomegc:

I checked out the data base for you here:

http://www.sugargliderhelp.com/links/pag...ouri/index.html

Since you are where you are, you have 2 choices, east or west. KC area would be My Little Gremlins, St Louis would be True Blue. But if you plan to go that far, you might want to check out Kansas , Illinois, Iowa.

There are also breeders that will ship to you the nearest large airport.

Please keep us posted on your new adventures!

I personally don't know anything about this specific breeder and their gliders... but if you are in the St. Louis area, there is a vendor for small exotic mammals that frequents the St. Louis Reptile Show - Riggs Family Pets. I have seen sugar gliders at her booth, as well as short tailed opossums, hedgehogs, prairie dogs, Siberian chipmunks, hairless guinea pigs as well as various reptiles.

From the quick stops I've made at their booth, the animals seem healthy. I have never purchased an animal from them, but I grew up in St. Louis and still occasionally make the trip to attend the St. Louis Reptile Show. You could look them up and see if they will be bringing gliders to the next show on January 8th.

If anyone knows anything (good or bad) about them feel free to post here, I just thought I'd mention them as they usually bring a few gliders to the show.

Have you found a vet in your area who treats sugar gliders? If not, click on the blue word et and it will take you to the database.
