Hello!
I have 2 female gliders, they are both about 10 weeks old. Every weekend my boyfriend and I (we both own the gliders) go visit his parents at their house. At my house, we have a large cage for them, but we are going to keep a cage at his parents house, and also use it as a traveling cage in case we ever bring them somewhere. My question is, is it ok for gliders to be in a small(ish) cage? During the day we carry them in their pouches and at night we take them out to let them run around the room, but is it ok that we keep them in a cage about the size of one of those hanging bird cages or a little bigger than that? We go to bed around 12-1am on the weekends. They would only be using that cage Friday night until Sunday afternoon.

Thank you for your help!
Amanda

Many people use a smaller week end travel cage with no ill effects. Just make sure they have plenty of toys and out of cage time while you are gone, if possible.

Also make sure the bar spacing is correct on those travel cages.

I agree with Karen, I travel with my gliders several times a year and they do just fine in a smaller cage for the weekend.
