I'm considering adopting a year old female and year and a half male, but I would like to cage the with my 4 gliders, two male And two female. I have a small male glider, 4 years old who is the alpha male, but adjusted to the girls when I added them very quickly. I have a sweet passive boy who took a year to accept the girls. The girls were sisters. I know all the ways to bond them but my question is..is there a way to tell if there is a possibility of them bonding at some point. Are there signs or ways to tell by their personality? I want to be able to have them share a cage and play time at some point. Any thought on this?

I would start with pouch swapping between the two cages. After a couple weeks of that, then swap cages. Put the four in the pair's cage and put the pair in the four's cage. After a week or so of that, I would do it on a weekend, take them into the bathroom. Also do it in the morning when they want to sleep. Put the pair into the bathtub and take the alpha glider from the other cage and introduce that glider to the pair. If that goes well, take another and so on. If the alpha causes trouble, then take him or her out and try another glider. If it gets to the point where you only have one that you can't introduce leave that glider live alone for a week or two. I have found that they become more amicable to introductions after living alone for a week or two. If all goes well and they go into a bonding pouch together then which ever cage is going to be their cage, give it a deep cleaning. New fleece, scrub the cage and the wheel. Then I would put in at least 3 pouches in case someone or more wants to sleep alone. You may find they will do this for a few days to a few week.s Please keep us posted on your progress. Good Luck,

So what is interesting is the alpha male, buggy and bailey could care less of the new babies. One girl, Marley-cry baby. Lol and the passive boy, mocha, are at stare down with the new babies. Do you think this is a sign that the two in the stair down and yelling are going to be the hardest to get together. Btw. Mocha Tom a year to accept the girls. He is the biggest lover to humans.
