So I have a hedgehog as well, my room is naturally warm, usually in the 70's, sometimes low 80's as I am in FL during the day. At night, I open my a/c vent so I have some air and don't die of heat, and my hedgie has lamps, but the gliders have....nothing. And they are much closer to the vent. Not directly in front but higher up and nearer than the hedgie. Gliders like to chew and jump as I've noticed from their toys and my fingers.....
Is it worth getting a thermometer so I have some peace of mind knowing I'm not freezing them? I know they adapt well and the lowest it ever gets is probably 68 at its WORST, but come the changes in temp it would be nice to know. In that case, how do I place the bulb so they don't electrocute themselves or eT it? Should I do one on the top and one of the bottom? Or just one in the middle back or middle front? With the hedgie being so specific about temperature I'm a bit worried about them and I don't want to over do it or under do it either. Thoughts?
Thanks,
Alan

In Florida, I would be concerned with heat over cold. My kids are more active at 65 and 68. They have been in heat of about 90 deg at the most so far. (We travel with a 5th wheel ), and we ran out of propane one night and it was 42deg for about 3 hours. I have pouches at different levels of the cage so they can move around to get comfy if necessary.

If the room is tolerable for you, they will be OK.

They just don't tolerate hot or cold air blowing straight on them. You could get a vent defuser to turn air flow away from them if you feel it's blowing on them.
