How can I get Yuki to stop doing this? He's so feisty- if he wants out- he will get out- even if that means seperating the teeth of the zipper and getting out all on his own... (Particularly when Im trying to keep them UNNOTICED in a place they really arent supposed to be...like say the library...) though this is also the same Glider who kept undoing the twist tie holding the cage door shut on the way to the vet... It was an easy enough fix- (I just opened the pouch all the way and fixed it) but my heart was a bit on the beating really fast side because I was flustered and scared when he got loose...even if he didnt go far...still scary! So...how can I deterr this behavior (if its possible)? because I dont need it to happen more ...

Hey!!!! Missed you! And your stories!
Have zippers always bothered him? You may need a couple of things. First a heavier plastic zipper that have actual teeth, and second, an inside flap to discourage getting to the zipper on the inside. The down side to the heavier zipper is they are noisy.
Is he a chewer on his sleeping pouch or just doesn't like being shut in? Mine go nuts if they have to potty.
Does your pouch have plenty of room for both of them?

HELLO! I've been busy with life! But im alive I assure you! He chews on other things (rubber duckies, apple sticks his other toys etc), not his pouch- and it does have a flap...If I recall correctly- Yuki just does what he wants when he wants- Zippers dont bother him or kino in the slightest- hes just the kind of glider who when he wants out- he'll find a way out no matter what (one time he actually broke his nail to break the zipper- its still growing back.) And trust me they have PLENTY of room lol.. I could probably fit them and a few friends in that pouch pretty happily.

What a little bugger! I still think a bigger zipper might help. Does your pouch have a window he can see out?
Dot used to try to unzip her travel cage... Now she loves it. But neither are chewers...

I have to say if he is that determined, even if you found a heavy duty zipper he couldn't open, his next move would probably be to chew through the pouch itself. I doubt you are going to be able to keep him from chewing his way out unless you carry him in a wooden box
You may have to resort to choosing when you will take him and when you will leave him at home
You have a regular Houdini on your hands

That does leave you with a problem for sure.
If you are taking them out every day, then perhaps cut back to just 2-3 days out a week. It's possible Yuki isn't getting enough sleep during the day when he is out

no I dont take them out every day- we actually dont go out too often- (still working on bonding and I dont wanna risk losing them you know?) Not only that but where im staying has a dog that would kill them- so I have to be very careful- (Im working on getting my own place with more freedom for all three of us) But I do get them out to play- and I let them sleep as much as possible- Their schedule is Sleep from noon till 1-2am) Minus the random times after work we need snuggle time or when we play in the hallway- but then we all go to sleep for a bit- but trust me they sleep enough- Yuki is just a butt.

Hey, I might have found a solution, or maybe piqued your imagination here: https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B072FKXJJ...ywords=bag+clipSometimes I sleep with this stuff on my mind and wake up with ideas... This paticular one isn't wide enough, but somewhere out there is one... Hope it helps!

The day we got our first glider, it was kinda a spur of the moment decision. We had thought about it and studied them but hadn't fully decided to get one. Then my husbands coworker didn't want his any longer so we took her in on a moment's notice. We had nothing. I like to sew and had tons of sewing fabrics and notions but no zippers to make a bonding pouch. However I had made pjs for my kids when they were babies and a lot of plactic snaps. I made a couple pouches using fleece and snaps. I placed them about an inch and a quarter apart. The fabric thickness kept it tight enough that they couldn't get out, but since he's such an escape artist you could put them closer. They close together pretty tight and I couldn't imagine a glider snaping it open. Mine have nuzzled their nose up to it a few times but never really tried to escape. A snapped pouch may be worth a try.
