Hi, my family and I are wanting to add a pair of new family members in the next few months and would like your opinion. these will be our first gliders, so naturally, we are nervous about finding the right fit. As a family, we tend to adopt the older, goofy, hard to adopt out kind of pets. Lol. We have researched all kinds of glider rescues and breeders and would appreciate anyones opinions one way or another on what would be best for a first time owner. TIA!

I can't say what the best way is for everybody, but my first gliders were found on Craigslist. Then over a year later, I took in another older glider in need of a new forever home. They've worked out fine for me for having gliders for the first time.

My first pair, both females were around a year old, my third glider, a male was around 4yrs old.

BTW, My first Glider (Fiona) came from Pocket Pets, and my Second (Dot) came from Craigslist. Fiona was small (8wks oop) but healthy, bonded fairly quickly, and Dot (12 wks oop) She was big and healthy, but we suspect abuse. It took about 6 months to get a mutual trust, then the bonding started.
