I had something poetic for this...
Worked on it for a long time. But couldn't finish...trouble seeing the screen.

It is with heavy heart that I must report that little Aria, the oldest daughter of Mrs. Frisby and Justin, has...passed.

Missing. Presumed dead.

In our last move, my new "cool" cage broke open. The rig is not designed for the gliders to be loose when we are in transit, and there are places exposed while the sliders are IN, that are NOT glider proof. It's my belief that Aria was able to access the roof through the air conditioner shaft, while we were in motion.
I have no way to be certain, the exactitudes of how...but she's been gone over a week. :-(
Must be presumed dead.

I find it...surprising. I have had small mammals before, but never developed any kind of bond with them...I guess. It feels a bit like losing a puppy. I miss her midnight face-slapping...and the way she was always singing.

We do not weep in sorrow for the dead. We weep for ourselves, who must bear their loss.

Daddy Tree will always love you...
Fly Free little angel...

I am so very sorry. Not knowing what happened makes it so much harder. There is always that special little one who has your heart. We all have had one.

There is no need to apologize. Especially to any of us because we have all been wrapped up in our own losses at some time. No matter how hard we try, our hearts shatter into a million pieces when we loose one we have loved so much. Tragic circumstances just make it even worse hug2

I definitely agree with Karen.

If you ever get around to finishing your poem, I would love to read it... Take your time, we all miss you, but we aren't going any where.
