I have a male glider that was eating mealworms recently and appeared to be gagging or having something stuck in his throat. He opened his mouth really wide and stuck his tongue out and appeared to be licking his fur but then he took his paws and was "grooming" his tongue like he was trying to get something off of it. He didn't do it with every mealworm but he was definitely slower at eating them then normal. He kept eating but seemed to be having trouble swallowing, or gagging. I just started all of them on TPG (i have 3 other females) Could it be he got like a chunk of oatmeal stuck or something? I didn't notice him having any trouble eating yoggies later in the evening. He did it twice yesterday but not today at all. Should i be taking him to a vet nonetheless?

He may have been trying to spit out the exoskeleton of the meal worm. Some gliders don't eat that, they spit it out.
