The Name Game!!!!
I know we've had similar posts, but thought it would be fun to revive, for the newer and older members.
So, here's how to play:
1. list the names of your glider(s)
2. tell where their name originated.
3. why you chose it. or chose to keep it.
4. for those renamed, repeat 2 & 3 for new name.
And last, but not least.....
5. if you were to get more gliders (or had do overs), what names would you choose, then repeat 2 & 3 for those names.
That's it!
For those who are waiting for, or considering first gliders, you may participate as well if you have names picked out. Well, at least for 1-4.

3. I wanted something that reflected me being in Europe.
4. I consider it original since I'm the 1st home.
5. I'd continue the theme. Maybe Percival if male, Nimue if female.

Very clever Hutch, thank you. 1. Ollie, Lulu, & Skadoosh. 2. Lulu & Skadoosh were named by previous mom, Skadoosh originated from Kung Fu Panda, have no idea about Lulu's name. Ollie was originally named Icarus, from Greek mythology. 3. In my case, I kept the girls names, as I couldn't come up with any others that suited them as well, at that time. 4. I changed Icarus to Ollie, because I didn't like the way Icarus flowed with the girl's names. 5. If I were to have the chance to rename them all again, it might be: Ollie=Ruckus, Lulu=Hoot, & Skadoosh=Nanny. I guess if I were to get another trio as well, being 1m & 2fm or 2m & 1fm, I would probably go with those names. Ruckus sounds like a boy, Nanny sounds like a girl, but Hoot really could be either.

1. list the names of your glider(s) Yoda and Jabberwinky 2. tell where their name originated. It was the ears and courageous spirit that inspired Yoda's name. Jabberwinky was exceptionally crabby as a joey and seemed determined to prove what a big scary monster she was, so the name fit at the time. 3. why you chose it. or chose to keep it. Yoda's name has endured, although I do often call him Yodiferous (for his tendency to sniffle) or Yodes for short. Once Winky calmed down a little, I dropped the Jabber from her name. These days I call her all sorts of variations, my current favorite being Winklefritz. 4. for those renamed, repeat 2 & 3 for new name. Variations on a theme. 5. if you were to get more gliders (or had do overs), what names would you choose, then repeat 2 & 3 for those names. I don't know... gotta get to know the gliders first!

Stef, love your answer to #5! You're very right, I didn't change my girls names originally because they seemed to suit them better than any others I could think of at the time. Ollie's name would have been Wilson (a boys name I wanted to use for so long), but it didn't fit him either, or flow well with the girl's names. I later thought of those other names,mother would have fit my gliders well, not too sure if they'd be as fitting to a new trio of them though.

Fiona: Shrek
Dot: Animaniacs
3. why you chose it. or chose to keep it.
Fiona: The very first time I saw her, she had her ears kinda flattened, and the tips curled. I made me think of Fiona from Shrek. She was tiny, and I felt the name suited her.
Dot: I wanted to call her Arial hoping it would sweeten her over time. But Hubby said it was his turn to name one, so he won. She can be sweet or a demon, so her name fits. Most of the time we call her Dottie.
4. for those renamed, repeat 2 & 3 for new name.
And last, but not least.....

Well, I've softened up hubby finally!!! But I have to wait for a trip to Wisconsin... We want a neutered male and I think we will call him Ricker... Rhymes with Tucker, sort of....

Oh jeezzz!!! Name for my third glider... I need to proof read more than twice, and I can't spell..... The neutered boys name would be Ryker... Ricker... Lol... in my brain, it was right... Ricker... Lol! Lol! No, Ryker!!!! Lol!
