Hi to start off I'm getting my first pair of gliders and not completely sure about feeding them pellets and real foods? Like if I'm feeding them pellets can I feed them fruits and veggies off and on with the pellets. Stick to just a pellet diet or can I mix it up here and there, still giving them pellets?

Hi, and :welcomegc:

If you click on the blue word diet, it will take you to a database of the different diets recommended. Any blue word will navagate you to more info.

I would not feed an all pellet diet. Their teeth don't grow, and they only have one set of them. They will need a balanced diet that includes fruits and vegetables.

Dawn gave you a great tip and advisement on obtaining info and providing a nutritionally balanced diet.

Billy, good luck if you pursue that business venture, lol, sugar glider dentistry would certainly open many job opportunities. And thank you for the adorable but funny image this put in my head of a sugar glider in a dentist chair.

diets can be a hot topic. I myself feed Critterlove Plus with the recommended salad mixtures.

I also keep Happy Glider kibble in the cage, it is good for reducing bickering over food. The big reason is for them to chew on it and it will help remove tartar from their teeth.

You can check out the Critterlove diets at Critterlove.com.
