Stewie had his well check at the vet today.

Heart good, lungs good, fecal good.

At about 17 wks oop, he weighs 80 grams.

I took Fiona along since this was his first trip since we brought him home to give moral support. She is a trooper at the vet.

I took Stewie out of the travel bag and he bit me of course. Handed him over to the tech and nothing. No crab no fight. He winked at the vet while she was taking his vitals!

So his charm won him over on top of his cuteness.

They handed him over to me and he went back in the travel bag without a peep!

He was a good boy today!

Glad Stewie is doing so well! He sounds so sweet (except for the "love" bite smile

In reading about Stewie's weight, I had a question, kind of newbie. When are gliders fully grown? About what should a full grown female weigh? I read between 95-115 grams. Mine are 6 mos oop and weigh about 86 grams. Is that a little light?

It really depends on the glider. My girls were light untill they turned about 2 years old. Then they filled out more. Fiona was about 60gr at 6months. She is a small frame. Dot was around 97gr and she has a large frame. 6 months ago they weighed 97 and 152. They were 3 1/2 yrs at that time.

Thank you for shedding some light on that. One of mine is definitely smaller framed. She weighs about 75 grams. They both feel like they aren't thin, their bones aren't prominent and they feel like they have some nice muscle. So I won't worry then. Funny, but the smaller one is more dominant!

You guys are so sweet!!!

I forgot to mention the warning I gave the vet and tech about Stewie. He bites, lunges, and runs really fast! So out came the leather gloves, towels for under the doors, tech put on a ball cap and safety glasses...(Gee, I think they have had trouble before. Lol!) And then nothing... He was good!!! Well, after he bit me he was good!

Since my first post here, we had a little time to kill before dinner so hubby thought Stewie needed to go to the Bass pro shop after the vet visit on the way home. See if he could find any salt water lures for Gulf fishing...

So we blew about 1.5 hrs. Not a peep...

Went to Long John Silvers... Not a peep.

Got home, put him in the cage. He jumped out of the pouch Fiona was in and crawled in with Dot... I think he missed her... I left her home because I didn't want any trouble and I think Stewie wanted to make sure she was OK. Oops. Spoke too soon. Somebody just got told to get their foot out of someone's face... Oh well all is good!
