I have switched to Critter Love diet (amazing imo) but want to lessen my expense on salads. I have been using the Critter Love freeze dried salads but I am going fruit and veggie shopping today. If I understand this correctly, I will need to freeze the salad and its okay to make a 30 day supply for my four. Any secrets before I start that are helpful? I have my list as provided through Critter Love.

I have my list as provided through Critter Love. I recommend freezing the salad in several freezer safe baggies. Put the bulk of the salad mixture in your deep freeze and keep a bag in the freezer part of your fridge and feed out of that bag. Then you aren't exposing the whole salad to warm and cold variations and it will limit the ice formed in the container.

Wet fruits will freeze better on a cookie sheet covered with parchment or wax paper.
I use a plain upper end kitchen trash bag to mix f/v salad. Every 2 hours, take it out of freezer and mix it up to keep them from sticking together. It also helps add cut up f/v one at a time. Add to bag, put in freezer, take out as you're done cutting up and add/mix. When you're done, push all the air out, freeze over night, and separate into gallon bags. I found a kitchen size trash bag will confirm to any shape in my small freezer. That's why I use them. Super easy to mix up that way too.
As you seal them, push air out. Then like Feather said.
