My gliders are about 2.5 yrs old and I've had them since about 12 weeks. It is a boy and girl, and my boy has always been the dominant one. they have always gotten along and played together, slept together, etc. Lately though, I have noticed the boy getting [censored] off and chasing the girl around the room (yes, my gliders have a whole room to themselves..lol). He hasn't hurt her at all, but he will crab at her and chase her. It has been happening for about 2 months now, and seems to be happening more frequently. it seems to be when he is about to go to the bathroom. he wiggles his bum like he's about to go, and then if she is anywhere near him, he freaks out and chases her away while crabbing heavily. The chase is short, and he has never caught her. he doesn't hurt her. it's more of a "GO AWAY!!" kind of thing. They still always sleep together, and they both seem healthy.

any idea what this is all about, and how to stop him from being such a bully??

I think a vet check is in order to make sure there is no UTI involved or anything else that is making him uncomfortable when trying to go to the bathroom.

Also, I am assuming he is neutered, right?

Please let us know how the vet visit goes. Hope there is nothing wrong with this little one. If not, then we will proceed from there.

Sorry for the late reply. Clyde had a clean bill of health from the vet. She thinks he is protecting the food and is possibly bored. I switched up the room and set out a second food station. So far, so good! We went from crabbing and chasing every 30 mins to only once in the whole evening. 2 days later, they were back to happily playing together. It has been good ever since! Yay!! smile
