Hi guys, since Luna and Starlight are now living together, I'll need to neuter Starlight ASAP. How much does neutering cost and should I separate Luna and Starlight until he gets neutered?

The cost of neutering depends on where you live, so there is no way to know what the vet charges where you live
You do not need to separate Luna and Starlight before having Starlight neutered. Just let them stay together as normal.
What I would suggest is to talk to your vet, find out exactly how he performs the neuter procedure and post here. Meaning, does he do pom off/on; does he do stitches or not; does he do lazier surgery; does he shave the area or not; does he send home pain meds after having pain meds on board directly after surgery; does he recommend an e-collar or not?
If he is not willing to answer or even discuss these questions, then I would find another vet. We also have vets who will do a phone consult with other vets if HE has any questions
These are all very important questions to know before taking your glider in for surgery.

I would request that they don't shave the area and if they do pom off, tell them to make the cut or laser at least an 1/8 of an inch from the belly. No Glue.
Keep us posted.

Feather is right, I had my two boys done within the past several months. I had pom off, no glue, no stitches, no shave and all was very successful. I was a nervous nanny but thanks to this site, I went through with it! So glad I did! As far as price, for both it was around 300.00 but well worth it!

Ok, thanks everyone! I'll ask the vet about the neuter procedure.

Please keep us posted on the neuter. It's good to know what and how they do neuters in other countries.
And we also want to know how Starlight is doing too.
Please keep us posted.
