Hello,

I have 2 8 month old female twins that I adopted about 2/3 months ago. One is very crabby and bites none stop. The other is super sweet and nips quite often but doesn’t crab much like her sister.

Recently I have not been socializing with them bc Lucy is so nasty that I cannot take anymore bleeding bites and Zoey won’t come out of her pouch often. Today I noticed that Zoey (sweeter one) is acting very sluggish. She usually nips at me when I put my hand in there to feed or pet her and she is not reacting much at all. She is allowing me to pick her up and pet her without even sniffing me much. She seems to be closing her eyes a lot too. I took her out to examine her and she is acting like we have bonded for years. She’s walking all over me and letting me pet her under her chin and being sweet. I have not had much time to bond with her so going from nipping often and being impossible to pick up to this is very strange.she is eating just fine and drinking. I did notice that when I put her back into her cage she is not going back into the pouch where she usually is with her sister. She has been awake all night and day and is just sitting on a hammock and not moving much.

Can anyone give me suggestions on what may be happening with her? Lucky is still acting like the same ole crabby pants that she is

I would consider a vet visit. I hope Lucy mellows too. I have one girl who bites but she is looking for sap and almost never bites hard.

With that kind of change in attitude, I would get her into the vet. Have them check for parasites (including Giardia) and a urinary tract infection.

This is nothing to mess with, by the time we notice they are off or not doing well they are usually very sick.

I agree with Feather. Have them go over her really close.

A vet check can help with their additude towards you too.

I will make an appt. tomorrow. I hope she is ok. Even though I absolutely love how sweet she’s being, I don’t want it at the cost of her health.
