Yes, there was some discussion at this year's about the future of the SGGA. Whether it should continue, how and where.
It was pretty much unanimous people still want a SGGA gathering, and what exactly will be on the agenda will be decided later.
Where it will take place was also discussed. Moving around takes quite a bit of capital ($$$), and funds are simply not what they were years ago. So simply economics meant there needed to be a decision made that would benefit everyone. Accommodating hotel ... both for gliders and price for rooms as well as centrally located for pretty much everyone.
Bourbon decided that would be Lexcinton, KY.
So for the foreseeable future, the SGGA will be held in Lexington each year. Bourbon will post more on the SGGA website when she has details.

so it not made it heard here yet it seems.
SGGA 2021 will be in KY and is July 30/31 next year I can wait to hopefully return and possible do live cast again if needed like this year.

yes for those that where registered and had cancel (bourbon had created a private group for them to watch ) if you look in a few pictures you can see my low end laptop being used to stream for the room. Basically i streamed thought my Facebook account out to the patio tv( this was to help with the social distancing and tested it to Cora Holt (since she could not come due to Covid-19 ) and work as a nurse. was not prefect and i deleted the stream after each section to help keep it from being viewed later or edited..
Again this was a first and only for those that had paid to come but were force to cancel cause of covid related issue. ( was not prefect and a test for possible future events if there still social distancing...
Fun part was we only got 10 minutes before the actual SGGA to setup/test to the tv. then I added Cora with Bourbon permission. I not sure if there will be a future for it or how well it be limited to as it did require some special equipment for internet to work in ball room. I would be willing to do so at any event I attend with permission and some more time to test in future lol.
Please remember that the SGGA is also a Social event for us glider slaves to enjoy stories and meet others. I do leave the live cast/streaming up to Bourbon and those in charge to decide if there a next time lol. I enjoyed the challenge and help I got setting it up ( and I want to do it again if offered the chance.
