What are you going to use the hay for? Gliders won't eat it, I don't think and you wouldn't use it for bedding.

Another option would be raffia

Here is the problem with using either one of those. The gliders may like them, but they will pee and poop on them. May even decide they like using them for that purpose which means the cage is going to stink to high heaven in a very short time. I would use something plastic for foraging that can be washed.

I would be careful of the Timothy hay unless you know it's source. if it is from the first cutting of the season, it may have pesticides. The second cutting is what they use for rabbits and guinea pigs to eat, but gliders won't get any benefit from that. I would also be careful of the chat and seeds in it. It could become an eye irritant.

Rafia needs to be dye free. In other words natural. Watch how long the strands are.

I agree with Karen that you would have to change it due to their tendency to pee and poo on it.

I agree with Karen and Dawn about the hay. I suggest that you use cut up fleece. Cut it into strips, they will havea blast. You will find it in their pouch. Plus you can wash it.
