so we been treating Momo for a dom wound/ matting( bite to the neck) when I checked this morning I didn't smell anything. ( yes we smell when we check the wound)... I do admit to having a weak nose (from being around animals for years when I lived at home),and didn't smell anything. now we can smell the infection. so first thing in the morning start calling the vet and try to get her in ( on my only day off so other things will be put on hold that I wanted to do). Hopefully they can squeeze us in and get her squared away. this is the third time she gotten one the last 2 were from when she was with waffles. and this time it Misha bemmer and bowie and not sure who did it.

update Momo got seen this morning ( never got my wife moving that fast) I had let her sleep in since it was her day off too, while i tried to get a appointment . when I finally got though I explained the issue and they got me in this morning. the appointment was 90 minutes from when i called. ( we live about 55 minutes away) We got there with like 5 minutes to spare. but I am for once a little upset with the vet. he basically just ripped the scab off and said we had to just keep it clean and open ( gave us meds to put on it daily ).. This is the first time I ever seen a animal treated with rough hands. I mean the scab was not on by much but the amount of hair he removed upset me a little . ( and this is the glider vet we go to a lot ) We been spoiling momo and couple extra goodie treats on the way home ( piece of egg and cheese and bagel ) since we didn't get to eat breakfast until after the appointment. She has nipped both of us since them expressing her disapproval of how she was treated. but I can understand I know how much I hurts when I ripped one off a few weeks ago to be able to get the dirt and hair out of the wound I had.

She will heal faster with it gone. Mine usually don't mind me peeling it off.

I we are seeing a difference in it healing already once cleaned and the ointment put on and she been great about taking her meds.. we are keeping her follow up appointment as a just to be sure deal.. I just wish the boys would stop getting carried away when they play. Lol
