helo.. i have 2 female sugar glider, an 10 months and 9 months old. I have a biting issue with the 9 months old where she likes to bites a lot.. like really intense. i adopted her when she is 2 months old. i get bitten several times till i bleed before, but today is the worst cause i get bitten on both hands, but the left hand is more severe where the bleed wont stop for a few minute.. i have try bonding technique where i put her on my cloth and cover her with it.. (it will shape like a pouch) and leave them there while i'm doing my activity for hours.. they will sleep in there... i tried lure her to my hand with food, and she did climb to my hand and eat.. but she will bite here and there... not that hurt but like testing bite kinda bite and it was ok.. I tried put her on my shoulder while i walk around the house for a couple minute... she will try lick my neck.. but then idk if she groom or bite.. but it hurts... like needle hurt.. i tried correct her with making "tskk" or "ssh" sound everytime she try to bite or bite me. i also try blow gentle.. but she bite even harder... what should i do to stop the biting? or at least decrease the intensity of the bite? i know animal bites.. i get it.. if its a small bite or occasionally, i'm fine with it.. but this bite makes me uncomfortable, kinda like traumatize to hold her..

Hi, Slow down, you need to go at her pace. Don't feed her anything from your hands for know. Don't let her on your shoulder. Get a zippered bonding pouch and carry them around during the day. You can give her treats, such as yogurt on a spoon. Be careful what you use for soaps and lotions, if it smells edible to them they will bite. I suggest that you read this article.
