OK... I have four standard grey female gliders who have become my life... They are currently on the Darcys diet and get fresh fruit and veggies every night for dinner and supplemented with Calcium Tab. mixed with the Ensure... I also give them plenty of wax worms... Maybe get a little spoiled with them <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/blush.gif" alt="" /> What Im wondering is am I doing enough... I hear about all these vitamins etc... that people are giving to their gliders but I live in Canada and PetSmart and the other chains don't carry these Glider Vitamins here... Any Ideas out there or are my girls ok with what they are getting... ????
Thanks for your help and reading this post

Darcys diet is a proven diet and that should be all your girls need. Other diets call for the vitamins but your girls get their vitamins from the ensure and their fruit and vegs. I know a few people that use the darcys diet and are very happy with it so I'd say just stick to it.

As long as you follow a proven diet exactly as it states it should be used, you are doing as much as you can. If you start adding more supplements beyond what the diet calls for, you can throw off a carefully balanced diet unnecessarily. You hear about this sort of thing with dogs and cats, but it's even more important with gliders since they are so small and their diets are so specialized.

The only stupid questions are the ones that don't get asked.

You are fine using Darcy's diet without extra supplements. In fact, one of the concerns lately is that we may be supplementing TOO much in some cases, causing liver problems.

One word of caution I would give you is that Darcy's was developed for a glider who was ill, and sometimes tends to cause healthy gliders to become a bit overweight. As long as your glider isn't getting chubby, it's fine to stay with Darcy's. But if you start noticing them looking a little chunky, you might think about switching.
